This module will enable you to:

• Facial anatomy: facial bones, neck and shoulder girdle (to understand tissue work)
• Facial and neck muscles: how they affect tone, puffiness and facial fatigue
• Benefits of massage: when it is required, its effects and how to work correctly and delicately with each area

Practical:

• Full facial protocol: preparation, cleansing, product application, massage techniques and completion
• Hands-on practice on models under tutor supervision

Assessment: practical observation, written tasks/diagrams (anatomy/schematics), and module work.

This module will enable you to:

• Products and specialist equipment for manicure treatments
• Correct treatment sequence in a salon setting
• Hand and forearm massage techniques (pressure, rhythm, technique)
• Heat treatments: when appropriate and how to use them safely
• Client advice: homecare and maintenance of results

Practical: performing a full luxury manicure on models.

Assessment: practical assessment plus a written assignment (Manicure & Pedicure assignment).

This module will enable you to:

• Pedicure products and equipment, including sanitation standards
• Full luxury pedicure protocol (stages, logic, client comfort)
• Heat treatments and safety procedures
• Aftercare: client advice and homecare guidelines

Practical: pedicure treatments in a salon format, working on models.

Assessment: practical assessment plus completion of the combined manicure/pedicure assignment.

This module will enable you to:

• Contra-indications and safe waxing practices
• Professional ethics and client communication (sensitive areas, comfort, service)
• Warm wax application: preparation, application, removal, and minimising irritation
• Aftercare: advice for clients and post-treatment precautions

Assessment: practical assessments plus a written assignment (Waxing assignment).

This module will enable you to:

• Understanding of the hair growth cycle and its importance for effective waxing results
• Reasons why hair growth differs between clients and how to explain this professionally
• Overview of alternative hair removal methods for accurate client consultation and recommendations

Outcome: the ability to perform treatments while professionally explaining expectations and care plans to clients.

This module will enable you to:

• Brow shaping and correction according to face shape
• Brow and lash tinting: colour selection, colour characteristics, and processing times
• Contra-indications for eye treatments
• Patch testing: when and how it is performed and how it is recorded

Practical: brow shaping and tinting, lash tinting, consultation practice, and aftercare.

Assessment: practical assessment plus a written assignment (Eye Treatments assignment).

This module will enable you to:

• Pre-makeup consultation: skin type, client preferences, and suitability of the look
• Products and application techniques: base, foundation, correction, eyes, and lips
• Contra-indications and aftercare (especially for sensitive skin)

Practical: full makeup application on models.

Assessment: practical assessment plus a written assignment (Make-Up assignment).

This module will enable you to:

• The role of reception/administration within a salon: service, organisation, and standards
• Appointment booking and client management systems
• Maintaining effectiveness in the workplace
• Promotion of products and services within the salon

Outcome: understanding how a salon operates internally and how to deliver service that encourages client retention.

This module will enable you to:

• Working with real clients in an Open Salon environment
• Practical exams and assessment tasks

• Final assessment of skills and competencies
